Moving into Staging, it's time that I start shooting references for animation.

Winter is coming and snow will make it impossible to shoot references into late November, so I got to it early.

I think I have all the references I'll need for understanding the physics of the actions in my film.
And how the obstacles of the Playground move when humans interact with them (rope bridge, wobbly platforms etc)

My dad helping me shoot references!

These kids are a reminder of why I do animation.
The energy in this video is incredible and I want to give the characters in the short THIS much life.

As a kid I wish I was taught more about the diverse professions you can practice as you get older. Maybe this short could be inspiring for these guys. I know it would've been for me, back then!

I realized how much BIGGER the scale of the set was in my 3D scenes compared to real life.
Look how tiny the park is!!

It's a problem for animation - the kid's limbs are not long enough to maneuver certain sections.
Now I see that it's cause the set in 3D was like, 30% bigger than it needs to be.

This will be a problem to look out for. I will def need to reduce the size of the set for certain sequences where it poses a problem.
Merci Papou pour ton aide!! Je t'aime <3
